Dear Reader:
I am still pondering last night's post, and today was one of those Olympics of Tiredness days, so I will keep this one short and hope for more inspiration tomorrow and beyond. Sleep is what I need right now. Just need to set the clothes out, pack those lunches, and get the coffee maker ready...
Oh, and fix this situation:
Calories consumed today: 1885
Calories burned (I had hoped to get on the treadmill this afternoon, but a nap seemed prudent and more of a priority): 0
Breakfast: Weight Watcher's egg white/canadian bacon muffin, coffee with milk
Snack: donut (just one! plain cake donut! Geez, how I love them. I could have easily eaten a dozen, but I decided to take care of future Lisa :))
Lunch:
Dinner (Taco Salad! Kid's favorite!):
OK, I've got nothing else today except one of my favorite poems. Enjoy!
Wild Geese
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting-
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
